Coffee with the Pastor

Two less-than-one-hour sessions offered the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month, 10 am, in the
Fellowship Hall, to help you connect, grow, and serve, and take your next steps in the Lord
successfully. At the end of Next Steps you may join the church.

Visit a Small Group

Life really is better together. Small Groups are the core of Arab First United Methodist’s ministry. A
Small Group is a great place to know people at Arab First Methodist, grow in Christ, and share
the love of Christ with others.

Make a Difference

We believe every believer is gifted and called by Jesus to serve His family and the world God
loves to make a difference. We believed we are blessed to be a blessing to others. In Next
Steps Session 2 and ongoing, each person is invited to explore their unique SHAPE
( www.freeshapetest.com ) and find their perfect fit for serving and making a difference.

BLESS Training

BLESS Training helps you learn how to make disciples for Jesus where you live, work, play, and
learn. This training is open to everyone as we learn that we are blessed to be a BLESSing and
how to practically live that out in our daily lives.

Next Training Saturday, August 27, 9 am—Noon.
Suggested donation of $5 for BLESS Book.

Freedom

During a 13-week Small Groups semester, Freedom Groups gather weekly to discuss the
Freedom Small Group curriculum, which is designed to equip you to live the victorious and
abundant life Christ came to give you. This group will help you remove every obstacle to
intimacy with God and walk in true freedom!

Small Groups begin Sunday, September 11, 5:00-7:30 pm
Freedom Conference Friday, December 2, 5:30 pm, and Saturday, December 3, 9:00 am, at
Daystar Church in Good Hope. Transportation provided as needed.

Multiply through D-Groups

(Disciples-Making Disciple-Makers)
D-Groups are a six-month or longer small group experience with an intentionality to become a
disciple-making disciple-makers. The participants will participate and experience God’s Word
and transforming Holy Spirit through deep fellowship and practical, simple, reproducible tools.

Will meet on Tuesday Evenings, 6:00-7:30 pm, beginning August 23

Walk to Emmaus Retreat

The Walk to Emmaus is a 72 Hour Retreat held at beautiful Camp Sumatanga, Gallant,
Alabama, and is an amazing experience of God’s love and grace shared by and with others.
Walks are held for men and women and applications are available in the Connect-Grow-Serve
Resource racks or by visiting online https://alaemmaus.org . Someone who has been on the
Walk will sponsor and complete your application and support you prior, during, and after your
retreat.
