And yet, he was called “a man after God’s own heart.” In After God’s Own Heart, author Mike Bickle explores what David did that allowed him to commune powerfully with the Lord, and shows how you too can be “after God’s own heart.”  Both men and women are invited to this study.

“Preparing My Heart for Advent” Bible Study Class – Does the holiday frenzy leave you jaded toward the real meaning of Christmas? Do you yearn to slow down, reflect on the Christmas story and make it truly meaningful in your life? Then you should join the Thursday Morning Bible Study Class as they embark on “Preparing My Heart for Advent” by Ann Marie Stewart. Earlier this year members of this class completed the study “Preparing My Heart for Lent” by the same author and found it a thoroughly genuine, thought-provoking and enlightening class. The new Advent study will begin November 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in classroom 102. “We were all excited to hear Ann Marie Stewart was offering an Advent study because we so enjoyed her Lenten sessions,” said Nancy Stewart who leads this group. Slow down and immerse yourself in the miraculous story of Christmas and join us for food, fun and fellowship on Thursday mornings. For additional information contact Nancy Stewart at 256/586-0351.

Faithful:  Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph by Adam Hamilton – This class begins Sunday, November 19 at 10:55a.m. in room 125 with Chris Hemphill facilitating.  (Distribution of books will begin on Sunday, November 12.)  For his part in the nativity story, Joseph faced a situation much like our own – encountering life circumstances he did not choose or understand.
