The Wednesday Night meal starts at 5:00 pm. The requested donation for the meal is $5 for adults and $3 for children. On October 21st our very own Mitch Stone will be helping to prepare a German Meal.

Welcome, Rev. Tom Parrish! Today we welcome our new District Superintendent, Tom Parrish, who will join Pastor Steve in leading worship and will share the Word with us today. He became Superintendent of the Northeast District of our Annual Conference this past June after serving a number of years as pastor of Mountain Chapel UMC in Birmingham. Welcome, Tom!

Directories have arrived – Our new church pictorial directories have arrived! If your family had your picture taken for the directory, you receive a complimentary copy. Please pick yours up today in the church office. They are marked with your family name.

Youth Open House on Sunday, October 18th – come and go as you please between 9:00am-12:30pm. Drop by and check out our awesome newly remodeled Youth House, pick up some information, and ask any questions. From Sunday School to Youth Group, Confirmation, Mission Trips and everything in between, we want to make sure you have all the information you need! We also want to celebrate our remodeling project with you. After the 10:55 service, our District Superintendent will come and lead a prayer of blessing and dedication at the Youth House.

Alabama Department of Human Resources invites you to a Panel night on October 22nd, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, located at 1925 Gunter Avenue, Guntersville, AL. A panel of people will answer any questions you may have on becoming a guardian for an elder in need

“Like C.S. Lewis? NEW STUDY beginning 10/18 in the Thirsty Class (meets Sundays 10:50 am downstairs- look for blue dot over door). Famous for the fantasy world Narnia, Lewis is among the most well-known Christian scholars of the century. We will study 2 famous works: Start 10/18 “Mere Christianity” and 11/29 “Advent in Narnia ”
Weekly meetings consist of prayer, fellowship, open discussion, scripture, & video segments. Adults ages 18-99 are welcome! Childcare provided upstairs. There is no fee for this study. Come join us!
New “Explorations” Class for Those Exploring AFUMC Steve and Sandy West are offering a new seasonal four-week Sunday School class for guests, visitors, and new members of our church starting October 25th. A version of the class will be offered at both 9:30 (Room 117) and 10:45 (Room 102) in the fellowship hall. We will share the story of American Methodism, basic beliefs, and the ministries of our church. There is no commitment to join, just come and learn and share.
Tickets now on sale for the Ghana Mission team Fundraiser on October 25th. The Fundraiser is a dinner and silent auction. The doors will open at 5pm and we will begin serving at 6pm. You do not want to miss this “Fun”draiser which will feature a shrimp and crawfish boil along with other wonderful dishes and fun decorated tables! Space is limited so don’t wait to purchase your ticket for only $25. Please see a team member for tickets. If you are not sure who the team members are, please see our display in the entrance to the Fellowship Hall. We need your help to make the mission a success!

Please sign cards for the homebound – In the prayer room are handmade cards for some of our congregation who are homebound or struggling. They have been prayed over and will continue to be prayed over this month. Please take some time in the prayer room praying, signing the cards, and perhaps enclosing a note to someone you know and care about.
