Prayer Calendar – In the Prayer Room is a sign-up sheet for an ongoing prayer calendar. Your commitment would be to spend time on one particular day each month in prayer for our church. We encourage you to come to the prayer room that day, but you may also hold your prayer time at home.

Prayer Partners – In the Prayer Room is a basket and slips of paper for you to use to join Prayer Partners. After they are collected for a few weeks, Prayer Partners will be assigned and the list will be posted. Participants will be assigned one of the other volunteers to pray for regularly, and a different person will be assigned for you.

David’s Prayer Shawl Ministry is looking at ways to celebrate the 6th anniversary of our prayer shawl ministry; we ask that those who made shawls, and those who received shawls and their families, please answer the following question “What does David’s Prayer Shawl Ministry mean to me?” Please send responses to

Room in the Inn – We host our homeless neighbors tonight starting at 5:00 pm. You are invited to come and have a fellowship meal with our neighbors or just spend some time showing God’s love. Please be in prayer for this ministry.

Lenten Devotionals are due tomorrow, February 9th. Thanks to all those that are writing for our self-published Lenten Devotional Book. They will be available at the Ash Wednesday Service on February 18th at 6:00 pm.
Arab Robotics Team Taco Salad Luncheon is February 15th from 10:30 – 1:30 in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $7. Eat in or “to go” plates will be available. Help support the Robotics Team to competitions.

A Tuesday morning book study with Pastor Steve West will begin Tuesday, February 17, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in room 112 in the lower level of the church. We will study the book The Way of Grace: Finding God on the Path of Surrender by Glandian Carney (with Marjean Brooks). Books are available in the church office; a donation of $5 per book is suggested.

The Arab Ministerial Association invites you to join other Christians in our community for our Wednesday Lenten Services starting at noon. Each week, the host church will provide a lunch meal following the 30-minute devotional service.

The Young in Heart will meet February 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Sandy West will be the speaker and an Italian meal will be served. All who are 55+ are invited to “get to know Sandy”. Reservations can be made at the Hospitality Desk.

Lois and Brian O’Dell will be sharing about their recent mission trip to Eugemot Orphanage in Ghana, Africa on Sunday, February 22, in the Fellowship Hall at both 9:30 am and 10:55 am. Their program is for children, youth, and adults…everyone is invited.

The Men’s Chili/Soup Cook-off is February 22nd at 6:00 pm. Bring your favorite chili or soup to share at a fellowship supper. Prizes will be awarded for the best chili and best soup. Those not wanting to participate in the cook-off can help by bringing cornbread, crackers, and desserts. Join us for this night of good food and Christ-like fellowship.
Arab First United Methodist Church will be hosting a Women’s Conference that is aptly named “Walking In Faith – Transforming Your Life”. The Friday session (February 27th) will start registration at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Saturday program (February 28th) will begin at 9:00 a.m. and wrap up about 2:00 p.m. You can register on the church’s website; for more information contact Nancy Stewart. A full weekend of accomplished Christian speakers and musicians that promise to lift your spirit, as well as a Christian “marketplace” featuring specialty artists! Some of the speakers are Patricia “Sister Schubert” Barnes, Patti Foster, Kelly Mayo and Sandy West.
