Connecting Points November 30, 2014
Challenge for 2014
To read the entire Bible; for it is the true rule and guide for faith and practice.

Communion is served in the Prayer Chapel each Sunday morning between services from 9:00 – 9:15 and from 10:30 – 10:45.

Rick Warren’s study “The Purpose of Christmas” is being taught in the Young adult Sunday School class, today at 9:30 am in room 103. Discover why Christmas is God’s idea and why Jesus is the greatest gift God gave to the world. Learn not one but three purposes of Christmas announced by the angel at the birth of Christ. According to Rick, once you understand the purpose of Christmas, your life will never be the same.

STARS Tutoring Program is experiencing continued success this year with 31 students currently enrolled. Teachers at AJHS praise the results they are seeing and are referring new students to us each week. We have a very caring and dedicated team of tutors who are truly making a difference. With our increasing numbers, we can always use more help. Remember, you do not need to be a genius to contribute. Many of our student participants simply need the encouragement to complete an assignment, to get organized, or to review for an
upcoming test. We need volunteers who have a heart for helping young people succeed. If interested, please contact Leslie Smith at or 256-506-6809, or call the church office.
