 Meeting Schedule through March 2013 - February 2014
 
 The “Young in Heart” was organized for any interested adults 50+ for the purpose of Christian Fellowship. Meetings usually fall on the third Thursdays and are usually held in the daytime. The December and February meetings are held at night to accommodate some of the younger members, who might want to get acquainted and “test out” the group. Some meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall and some are trips outside the church. Yearly dues of $15 per person cover group expenses and some meals. (They are due in January and are given to the Treasurer, Dee Rowley.)  All interested persons are welcome and are given an opportunity to volunteer for leadership roles. March 21, 2013…. 10:00 am meet in the Fellowship Hall – Enjoy a morning with Guntersville’s First Baptist Church “Pickers” playing some good “Blue-grass” favorites – At 12:00 – Enjoy some typical “Blue-grass” soul food. Food will partly be catered (paid by your dues). Some of you may care to help out by bringing a dish; see list.
 
 
April 18, 2013 ……….. We’ll be going to the “Old Cook Stove” Restaurant for a delightful buffet lunch of Amish cooked foods. (Our group has been there before.) Since we have to pay for the number of reservations we make, you will need to pay when you make a reservation. Jo Howard is making the arrangements. Time, directions and current prices to be announced.
 
May 16, 2013,…….….. We’ll be taking our favorite outing to Palisades Park. Be there at 10:00 am. We have the Moss Lodge until 1:00 pm for some fun/relaxing/and singing Gospel hymns with Shirley Gullion. Kentucky Fried Chicken will cater a buffet lunch (paid for our of your dues). Some desserts, however, will be needed. Palisades Park is near Oneonta. Follow Hwy 231, before getting to Oneonta watch for the Palisades Park sign, turn left and follow the rest of the signs. Set up your own carpools or let Janet know if you need a ride.
 
June-August……….No meetings
 
September 19, 2013……….. 5:00 pm Bar-B-Q Picnic at the large City Park Pavilion. Come early, bring folding chairs and visit. Eat at 6:00 pm. (Paid for by your dues. Some desserts will be needed.) Take Shoals Creek Trail, turn into City Park and go behind the swimming pool.
      
October 17, 2013,……...…We’ll take a trip to eat lunch at the Stonebridge Restaurant near Cullman. The leaves should be turning providing a pretty fall trip. Sue Newell will be making the reservations. Price, time and directions will be announced.
 
November 12, 2013………...10:00 am - Traditional Thanksgiving covered dish dinner in Fellowship Hall with the “B-Team" Angels. Old man Cecil has promised to be there to help entertain us. (Turkey and dressing will be provided. See the food list and sign up to bring a dish).
 
December 19, 2013………...6:00 pm - Catered Dinner by Kent Gibbs will be in the Fellowship Hall. Scott Tilton from Willowbrook Baptist Church will be singing Christmas music. Tickets, $10 per person, will be sold in advance.
 
January 20, 2014..... 10:00 am - Soups/Cornbread/ Pies will be served in the Fellowship Hall with a speaker from Hospice. (A “Bring food list” will be circulated.) Also plans for the 2014-2015 year will be discussed so gather some good ideas. (Annual dues will be payable)
                                                              
February 20, 2014….…... 6:00 pm - Annual Italian Dinner in the Fellowship Hall with a group of Brian Quillin’s Arab High School students providing the program. (Dues will cover the food cost.)
