GUIDELINES FOR MONTHLY CO-CHAIRMEN

When Death Occurs:

Provide food to our church family when death of an immediate family member occurs. (Immediate family consists of spouse, child, grandchildren, Mother & Father)
Explain that the committee from our church would like to help out with meat/cheese and fruit trays, if they so desire. Committee members wishing to take additional food may do so or provide a gift certificate to local restaurant for the immediate family.
Each committee member will help pay for the trays or gift certificate.
Find out when they would like the food, and where the food is to be taken.
When a death occurs at the end of one month, but the funeral is held in the following month, the co-chairmen for both months should co-ordinate the food.
Co-chairmen should send a sympathy card to the family from the Care & Concern Committee whether food is provided or not.
