Youth at Arab FUMC are considered grades 6 - 12 
with Junior high grades 6 - 8
and Senior high grades 9 - 12. 
 
So glad you visited this site.  We have a wide variety of opportunities here at Arab FUMC for youth to participate in. 
The following is our current youth happenings.

the youth activities.

Wednesday May 15Supper available with church family in Fellowship Hall at 5pm (cost is $5).
Youth House open at 5pm for fellowship.  OAT = Organized Activity Time 515pm to 6pm.
One Voice is 6 to 7pm. Separate junior high (6th-8th grade) and senior high (9th-12th grade) gatherings.
LAST time packing for 2012-2013 school year--Blessings in A Backpack packing in the Fellowship Hall after One Voice.

Sunday May 19—Due to Senior Graduation Recognition events, both 930am and 1045am Youth Sunday School Classes will
meet in the Fellowship Hall (The classes will not meet in the Youth House this day.)
**NO Sunday pm youth activities due to Baccalaureate in the church at 6pm.  May 19 = Graduation Recognition Sunday. Recognition in church at the 930am and 1055am service as well as a special luncheon for our senior graduates and their loved ones.  Seniors are to meet in the church office at 10am. 
Community-wide baccalaureate service to be held at AFUMC at 6pm. Seniors are to meet in the Fellowship Hall at 530pm in their caps and gowns
 
 
Wednesday May 22--Supper available with church family in Fellowship Hall at 5pm (cost is $5).
Youth House open at 5pm for fellowship.  OAT = Organized Activity Time 515pm to 6pm.
One Voice at 6pm but shortened to 630pm to enable attendance of the children’s program at 630pm in the church sanctuary.
NO Senior high youth only from7pm to 745pm for

July 15-19 = Summer Mission Trip to Nashville for all present 7 through 12 graders.   See Mrs. L for registration instructions as you must register on line per their request. There is no charge for this mission trip.  Contact Mrs L if you still want to go and have not registered.
Sumatangana Summer Camp dates are:
 
Junior High: June 9-14, June 23-28, June 30-July 5, July 14-19
Senior High: June 16-21, July 7-12

******ON-GOING SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES******
 
 
Blessings In A Backpack is every Wednesday evening throughout the school year, AFUMC will be packing 149 food bags for distribution at Arab Elementary School for the Blessings In A Backpack ministry.  Any person that wants to help with this packing is welcome!  Come to the Fellowship Hall immediately after One Voice to help.  With ample help we are usually done in 15 minutes.
 
 
Service Opportunity—being the Hands and Feet Of Christ
Every Tuesday afternoon during the school year, Arab First United Methodist Church will be providing tutoring for junior high youth who registered for this help. (After school until 430pm at the Youth House). Adults will be leading this outreach ministry. Interested senior high youth can assist.  Interested senior high youth are needed to assist.  Be in prayer for this ministry. Any junior high youth interested in this tutoring program will need to fill out a registration form that they can get from Mrs. Leslie Smith at Arab Junior High School.
