Want to Serve in Leadership in 2018? Our Lay Leadership Team is preparing nominations for church leadership positions to be elected at our annual Charge Conference on November 2. We would love to hear from you if you feel led to be a part of one of the administrative leadership teams or leadership positions of the coming year. There are many and various ways to be involved in life-giving ministry at Arab First UMC, but leadership has a unique role in the ongoing, healthy decision processes of our church body. Please get in touch with Pastor Steve, who chairs the nomination process, if you would like to offer yourself for consideration.

Encounter Night for Youth – It has been a difficult couple of weeks in the life of our youth and community with the passing of one of the students from Arab High School. Please stay in continued prayer for our youth, our teachers and our youth activities throughout the coming weeks and months. Next week our youth, from all churches in our community, will come together for one night of worship, as a unified body of Christ. Encounter Night will be October, 4th at 6:30 pm in the Arab High School auditorium. Before this night of worship, from 5 until 6 pm, there will be an open opportunity for all church members to come and pray for our students in the auditorium. We invite all who are willing and able to be present and show an outstanding love and support for the youth of our community.
Wednesday Night Menu – The menu for Wednesday, October 4th will be German Fest Night. We will have chicken schnitzel, potato salad, cucumber/tomato salad, brats/sauerkraut, hot dogs, and desserts.
