Annual Conference Opening Worship – This afternoon at 4:00 p.m., Annual Conference worship will begin in the North Hall at the Von Braun Civic Center. There will be a mass choir performing as part of the service, and members of our choir will be participating. Come and join in the grand worship experience. If you’ve never been to opening worship at Annual Conference, it’s a real treat.

Ben James’s Ordination – On Monday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m., the annual ordination service will be held at Trinity UMC in Huntsville. This is a special year for us, because our own Ben James (our associate pastor and ministry intern while he’s been at seminary full-time) will be ordained as an elder. If you’ve never been to an ordination service, this is a good time to attend to support Ben and his family. NOTE: the service is at 7:00 (not 7:30 as previously shared.)

Ben James’ Farewell Reception – Join us in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, June 12 immediately following the 10:55 am worship service for a farewell reception for Ben James and his wife Sarah. Arab First UMC has had the pleasure of having Ben serve as an associate pastor and support him as he completed his schooling to be ordained. We wish Ben and Sarah well as they go to serve the Lord at Crosswinds UMC in Harvest.

A Summer Men’s Bible Study entitled “Wild at Heart” by John Eldredge will begin soon. If you interested in this study, please contact Lee Michael.

Search for New Children’s Director – Pastor Steve is accepting resumes for the position of part-time children’s director here at Arab First UMC. We are finalizing the Ministry Description and would love to talk to any faithful, qualified candidates from within and beyond our local church. If you know of someone who is interested in this great opportunity to be a part of our ministry team, please have them submit a resume as soon as possible.
