Pastor Steve and Pastor Roy Both Out of the Country October 9-17 – on behalf of the Upper Room, the spirituality center of Methodism in Nashville, Pastor Steve will be sent on a mission trip to help launch the first Five Day Academy for Spiritual Formation Retreat sponsored by the Singapore Methodist Church. He will represent the Upper Room on the leadership team and plan and implement worship experiences for the Academy, held in adjoining Malaysia. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, sponsored by Upper Room Ministries.

Unfortunately, this is a time when Pastor Roy was already committed to an overseas trip. So both of them will be gone Oct. 9-17.

Steve has arranged for Pastor Mel Jacobs, the recently retired pastor of our neighboring 12th Avenue Church of God, to be our guest preacher on October 11. We have faithful volunteers at the church who love to visit people who are sick and in the hospital, so please be sure and call the church office as usual if there is a need for prayer. In addition, Pastor Steve has asked Pastor Mike Shirley, pastor of New Brashier’s UMC (and former associate pastor at our church) to be available for pastoral care or for a pastoral emergency.

As always, please contact the church office if there is a pastoral need and we will help you! And please pray for Pastor Steve during this important mission and for the church in Singapore!
