A new Study begins today, April 19th in the Thirsty Class. I have trouble with the Bible. It’s hard to read about God doing things like commanding the slaughter of entire cities. It sounds like the opposite of the God that Jesus revealed to us. What about inconsistencies in the Gospels? Are women actually prohibited from speaking in the church? Is there a verse that says slavery is okay? Who actually wrote the Bible… and how do we know it hasn’t been changed through the years? All these are fair questions for Christians to ask. “Making Sense of the Bible”, a study by Adam Hamilton, seeks to clear up some misconceptions and explores the difficult parts of the Scriptures. Join us starting April 19th. We meet every Sunday downstairs after the 9:30 service. Book donation requested is $10. Contact is Myles Teston mylesteston@gmail.com; 256-200-2188).

Please bring it to Wednesday night supper, April 22, or drop it by the church office before that date. And, please, give Pastor Steve a hard time about how old he is!
